Global Team of 200 is a highly specialized group of members of Mom Bloggers for Social Good that concentrates on issues involving women and girls, children, world hunger and maternal health.


Our Motto: Individually we are all powerful. Together we can change the world. We believe in the power of collective action to help others and believe in ourselves to make this world a better place for our children and the world’s children.

Those that serve are trained in just a few weeks and supervised before they are sent out on their own. They teach proper hygiene, nutrition and family planning. They are able to diagnose and treat common illnesses. With further training, they can give immunizations and deliver babies. The financial cost of training and employing frontline health workers is minimal, but they accomplish so much – teaching healthier ways of living which prevents sickness, immunizing which prevents disease, saving the lives of mothers who are giving birth and the babies who are born. They save lives and there’s no way of putting a value on that. Nominations for The REAL Awards are taken until November 29, 2012. Winners will be announced the week of January 13, 2013.
